My thoughts:

clutch is a quick and entertaining read about a woman looking for her one true love. I had so much fun reading Caroline's love adventure, never a dull moment. And Mike, Caroline's bestfriend, ooh I love him, so charming! His family story is intriguing, finding his own identity makes him so manly. Just one flaw... I didn't get to savor the moment of 'meeting' Caroline's forever, her HEA. The author could have added some more pages ;( still, I love clutch, definitely a re-read in the future is possible!

My thoughts:


Looking for a funny movie to rent, a friend suggested this one to me. Three friends, Dale, Nick, and Kurt "terrorized" by their bosses, paid someone (for five grand) to kill their bosses. This hit man they paid, known as Motherfucker Jones turned out to be just a "murder consultant" with no "killing experience". With no money left to hire a real hit man, the boys had no choice but to follow Motherfucker Jones' advice - they just have to kill each other's bosses and to make the deaths look like accidents. 


I actually enjoyed the movie but not as much as expected. I had horrible bosses before so I really enjoy watching movies with the same storyline, makes me appreciate my job now, yay! The movie was good but there were some boring parts that I almost fell asleep watching it. The lines are funny but I think they were not delivered right to make me LOL. Not good enough to recommend it to friends. Glad that I only rented the movie.

My thoughts:

The main character of the story is of course, Petchy Maligula, a  private detective who was hired to bring back the handsome TV host of "I Dig the Past", named Faladan Fala. Actually, even without someone asking/hiring her to find the TV host, Petchy would still find him because she's "truly, madly, deeply" in love with him!

The book contains a lot of funny really funny scenes and I was reading this in a public place - like in the hospital while waiting for my husband's doctor. I couldn't stop laughing and people were staring at me. Well, what can I say, I liked Petchy, she's really funny and an interesting character! At first I thought the book had a lot of typo errors -Betroit, Mechigan, PayBuddy, Grrrl, etc and then I realized the author deliberately changed the spelling and that made the story interesting and entertaining.

I liked the plot and the characters especially the two ghost friends of Petchy, Lady Cresta Victaria Meden who was killed in 1895 by Jack the Slasher and Lidy McDade who was also killed when she was run over by a trolley in 1917. Liddy was a very funny little girl. These ghosts sometimes help Petchy in her investigation but with the case of the handsome Faladan, they're not getting any leads.

The story was great until the author  introduced the two religious orders: Sisterhood of the Reflected Perfected and the Sisterhood of Inner Beauty. I couldn't relate to the rest of the characters, also didn't like the twisted Greek Mythology stories and well, I started skimming and skimming. I realized that while it was entertaining to read those deliberate change of spelling , I was also getting annoyed by it. Overall, if you want to be entertained but you don't mind a lot of weird names and places/scenarios, pick up this book.

The book is better than the movie but i love Isla Fisher here. She's perfect for Rebecca Bloomwood's character. The movie was much funny than the book though.

The reviews are good that's why I bought this but I couldn't catch up with the characters as I haven't read the first one. But still, i liked it, the characters are funny especially Eva and Lorcan and yes Eva's daughter too!

Still looking for the first book, I just don't know whereelse to go...
