My thoughts:

Daring the Wild Sparks is book # 2 to the Wild Sparks series. 

Oh so heart broken... Finn and Hadley's story felt so real and totally relatable. Their relationship made me look back my past and seriously thinking I may have committed some mistakes like Finn so in some ways I understand him, and his many frustrations in life.

What I was so happy about was meeting Finn's family and the way they love Hadley, that's cool! This book #2 gave me too many conflicting emotions, felt trapped to their issues. Can't decide! It's a good thing I'm just a reader here =) Reading book #3 soon!

My thoughts:

Hmm. Rating this one is pretty hard and confusing for me. I liked the story but often, I was annoyed with the immaturity of all the characters here. They were all in their 30's and yet they're acting as if they were teenagers experiencing life problems for the first time. 

Hadley and I didn't get along during the first half of the story. I was just too displeased with how she handled things with Finn. Past the last quarter, I began to like her. I was often moved to tears just thinking about her dreams and future which she knew too well they were different with Fin's.  

I'm downloading the second book, I want to see which Hadley would choose: love (stay with Fin but be unhappy forever) or dreams (leave Fin and wait for the right man to fulfill her dreams).

My thoughts:

Girl got pregnant by a friend.
Friend is Boy's younger brother.
Girl is broken, wants to give up baby for adoption. 
Boy wants to adopt the baby because baby is his only living relative.
Girl doesn't want Boy to adopt because she is broken. 

Too many emotions reading the story: good, sweet, intense to meh. It was good, a sweet story of finding true love the second time for  Lucas, first for Ellie. Points for Lucas for being caring, sweet, and how he loves his brother, he truly got me there. Meh, I was constantly bored and annoyed reading Ellie's struggle to accept people loving her. You know that kind of friend that's always so negative? *sigh* Her story is predictably monotonous. 

I survived 'Loving Ellie' because of Blaine and Victoria. I was deeply interested, so absorbed in their story that I actually forgot that the book is about Lucas and Ellie. I don't understand why the author can write excellent story for minor characters but not for the major ones?

My thoughts:

The story of Gooseberry Island focuses on David McClain, a ranger who had a one time war trip in Afghanistan. When he met Lindsey Wood, he believes he found his soul mate in her. Both tried to make the long distance relationship work and have been counting the days til his return to Gooseberry Island. 

Bad things happened with David and his war brothers. Right after they traveled back home, all of them suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD is so common for those who served in combat. Lindsey is a daughter of a war veteran who after I guess more than 20 years, the man is still suffering PTSD. Although she loves David so much, she believes it is highly likely that they would separate as she saw this happen to her mom and dad.

Gooseberry Island for me is not at all just a love story. It talks about friendship, family, pride, honor, etc. It was such a heart-warming story. I love every character, not just David and Lindsey. Every story made my heart ache especially Big Al's and Max's. I know someone who married a soldier who is on a war tour and recently she was complaining that she didn't get too see enough of her husband and their babies are looking for their dad. Ok, it was not really complaining but more like a frustration over raising their kids alone. I know she loves the man so much and she reminds me of David and Lindsey. 

I highly recommend this book especially to those people on LDR (long distance relationship) / who are married to a soldier.

My thoughts:

This book tells the almost always painful and sometimes happy life journey of a woman named Harley LeBeau. She came from a dysfunctional family which mainly caused by her alcoholic father. She wanted to escape this life sooo bad she went away (after high school graduation) to find happiness and peace of mind she never got at home.

Oh... this is my first audio book that I truly enjoyed, I love the author's voice! Wish she could narrate all my favorite books, surely, I'd buy them all ;) This has a soundtrack which I think is cool, unique for an audio book. It was soooo nice to hear someone singing songs while "reading" but sometimes it could be distracting. Not that bad, just a little bit weird. The story telling and dialogue felt authentic. You know that feeling you get carried away with it...found myself talking to Harley like a friend... like she was just on the phone LOL 

One character I soooo want to be my latest *wink* book boyfriend is Jeremiah Johnson, a.k.a. Miah/Big Johnson. He's Harley's best friend, her first friend, first kiss, the first in everything. Even after miles away, years not seeing each other, they still maintain that best friend, not so romantic relationship. I got so many issues with Harley about Miah, if she's my friend in a real world, I think she'd be in a hospital now. I like Harley, a lot,  but when it comes to Miah, ohhh I hate her. *long sigh*

As you can see below, I've just labelled the book my "all-time-favorite", means this is highly recommended! Try this one, you won't be disappointed.

My thoughts:

Awww. I love this book so much! Brought back high school memories. So many of us are familiar with this teen love story, loving best friend but you don't want to admit because 'it could ruin everything'. I am now a mom but it was still nice to read this kind of story, oh I miss and love that feeling. 

The book is well-written, characters and dialogue are realistic. Highly recommended to those who went through/going through i-love-my-bestfriend-but-couldn't-tell syndrome. I look forward to reading more from Georgia Evans!

Shoooot! I soooo love this book! After reading Motorcycle Man, I thought I found my favorite hero (in KA's world) when I met Tack. Nyay... Now that I've read this book, oh boy, I've been day-(and night) dreaming Tate since day 1 and still, his voice is stuck in my head. It wouldn't go away. . . so sweet, so bad-ass... my Tate! 

Tatum Jackson, an ex-cop, ex-football player, part-time bartender, part-time bounty-hunter, full-time sweet lover! Love his idea of giving sweet dreams to his partner. I want Sweet Dreams too!

Laurie, the woman who has Tate's heart. Damn...you are one lucky woman! Share Tate with me! Just one night please! 

Tate, like Tack, is a bad-ass-super-hawt-daddy. Love Tate, Jonas and Laurie's family time. Most of the family bonding scenes are funny, I was giggling like a school girl while reading this. Story and writing - I have to be honest here though. The book has some typo errors, needs professional editing but the plot, characters and witty dialogue were really really good, so the typos didn't matter much to me. 

And of course, the epilogue, the HEA! This is the reason why I want to read KA's books. I love happy endings. Sweet Dreams is the second book to  the Colorado Mountain series. Wanna start other books in this series soon....

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen's Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning. 

Nothing's changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she's blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. 

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

My thoughts:

Beautiful story.

This is a tale told by Aidan Sharpe, a 40-something very successful lawyer, probably the best in town, had a wife, money and everything. In one single mistake (stupid mistake), he lost everything... his job, wife, money, and even some friends. As an advice of someone dear to him, he went to Ocracoke Island and there he met a lot of people who would teach him what it means to really 'live' his life.

I liked that this book has a male character lead, Aidan was easy to get along with. When he lost his job, it was very hard for me to accept that he just walked away after that one stupid mistake. Been around lawyers for more than 10 years and they always find ways to make people forget things. They are good at erasing memories... It was when he started his journey to this Ocracoke island I started to really love his character. Rebuilding his life in a remote town suddenly became enticing to me. I mean there are times I would get tired of everything's going on around me and I'd go on vacation somewhere I'd be on my own. Though it would take a lot of courage to do the things he did. Oh well, he lost everything so he didn't really have any choice but to take that path. Love Aidan, I could picture him in my mind and every character  made a wonderful contribution in the story. One of the best reads for this year.

My thoughts:

Motorcycle Man is the 4th and final book to the Dream Man Series. Oh miiii gaawwwwwwd, I immensely enjoyed reading this book! This is so far, the funniest, the sexiest, in the Dream Man Series (not counting the second book, Wild Man - tbr). I was giggling the whole time and forgot I was at the library. Halfway reading the book, I had to step out because all eyes were on me and had to continue reading right there in a small vacant "lot" where no one can see me. LOL. 

Tack = bad ass biker in the whole KA world! Uhm, maybe there are others but have yet to meet them! Motorcycle Man is totally a 'dirty' book, lots of cursing and sex in every chapter. The first time I read a KA book, I thought I was gonna DNF because of the vulgar words but I learned to skip some yAy! parts =) You could try that too as it worked for me lol! Past half of the story, awww, I fell in love with Tack... he was such a loving, understanding, and protective father to his kids. I mean he can be really really mean but when it comes to Tyra and the kids, he gets softy... 

I also rated Motorcycle Man the best of the series because of Tyra, she (thank God!) is one normal woman. I mean, if you've read books #1 and #2, you would agree with me. Gwen is such a slut, flirting, wanting all the men around her and Mara, oh Mara. . . hate her for always critizing herself, that girl has some serious self-esteem issues. Tack's Tyra is sweet, nice to people around her, can be highly intellectual, AND totally focused on what she wants in life. There is a spin-off series, can't wait to start them!

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen's Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning. 

Nothing's changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she's blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
