My thoughts:
Book 5 of the Vampire Academy Series
Let me say this first, Spirit Bound is the best coverart I've seen.
I loved the book so much that I had to put it down, think and analyze some things. I was reading it like the way I have read Blood Promise, the way Georgina would read Seth's books.
Although the book was amazing, Shadow Kiss is still my favorite in the series. Spirit Bound was full of surprises, action-packed and gave me too much emotions. I laughed, cried and fell in love with the characters once again. As always, i don't wanna give out spoilers but it's too hard with this book. I'm trying to make this spoiler-free so i'm gonna do my review this way.
The first few chapters made me think twice about pursuing Dimitri. I was torn between Dimitri and Adrian. Part of me longed for Dimitri but another part wanted to stay with Adrian. I'm sure before Spirit Bound I really wanted Rose to end up with Dimitri but in this book, i realized Adrian may also be the right one for Rose. I think i have never "heard" Adrian say "I love you" though but his attitude towards Rose and the whole "being an understanding boyfriend" thing made me think he might be good for Rose too.
The best part for me happened in page 285. Well i cried while in that page, I had to put down the book and take deep breaths. Another crying moment was in page 353-362. Something happened that i didn't expect. It was a very Dimitri thing to do and yet I didn't expect it could happen.
As for the ending, the usual - another cliff-hanger. If i didn't read Shadow-Kiss i would definitely be mad at Richelle. I almost died getting to the end of Shadow-Kiss but this one is lighter than that. BUT of course, i got that feeling again that Richelle is making me suffer... The last book will come out in December. The title of the sixth installment is Last Sacrifice, made me think it would make me cry once more. I just hope it would be a good one.
Do. Not. Kill. Dimitri. Please!
Distractions... i need another distractions. Uhm.. how about theories ... theories... theories... i think i need to read the whole series again especially Rhonda's reading in SB. A clue from the best author, thanks to Richelle Mead.
You are now officially my favorite of them all. :)
About the book:
"Dimitri gave Rose the ultimate choice. But she chose wrong… After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri’s birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir’s—and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can’t wait for their real lives beyond the Academy’s iron gates to begin. But Rose’s heart still aches for Dimitri, and he's out there, somewhere.
She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and she knows in her heart that he is hunting her. And if Rose won't join him, he won't rest until he's silenced her...forever." http://www.richellemead.com/
About the author
A life-long reader, Richelle has always had a particular fascination with mythology and folklore. When not writing,, she enjoys bad reality TV, traveling, trying interesting cocktails, and shopping for dresses. Lots of dresses. She is a self-professed coffee addict, fights a constant (and losing) battle with procrastination, and has a passion for all things wacky and humorous.

Excellent analogy about reading this one how Georgina reads Seth's books. I TRIED to make SP last but tore through it in 4.5 hours. It is so good! Although I really want Rose to end up w/Dimitri, I want Adrian to find love too. Just not with Rose. Thank you for your spoiler-free review!
I'm sooo glad that you love VA and you have also read Georgie's books. Great! And yeah for wanting Rose to end up with Dimitri too!
As for Adrian, I hope Richelle Mead would find a way for Adrian and Sydney to meet - yay that would be great!
