Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

This week's hop:
Q - When you set a yearly reading goal, do you set it high to force yourself to meet that goal or do you keep it low and normally go over that goal any way? (Silver's Reviews)

A -  Used to do it via Goodreads but after years of failing, I decided to keep it low, no more expectations, no pressure.

Btw, when I went on a long hiatus just last month, I pushed myself to read more from my tbr, I think I read around 20-ish in two months. Now, I'm finally free of the decade-long TBR pile mess!

I've found it is better to set low reading goals as well. I tend to enjoy what I read more and don't feel as rushed.

I will never ever be free of the TBR list - it's like inflation. I also set my reading goals rather realistically. You can read all about it on: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/09/friday-meets-09-september-2011.html

Great on getting caught up with your TBR pile.

I don't set high reading goals either. I don't want to be stressed about my favorite past time.

ENJOY your weekend and your books.

Happy Hopping!!

As you know from my own BBH post, I never set yearly reading goals. Heck, I've already tried -- twice -- to participate in a yearly TBR reading challenge, and failed to complete it both years.....lol.

I've never participated in the Goodreads challenge, for the same reason.

So you read TWENTY books in two months during your blogging hiatus?! Wish I could read THAT fast, but I can't.... Besides, my TBR is absolutely, HUMONGOUSLY LONG!!!! I wouldn't be able to read ALL the book on it in an entire year! Lol. So KUDOS to you for getting those twenty books under your belt!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my own BBH post!! Hope you're having an AWESOME weekend so far!! (And that the rest of it will also be AWESOME!!) :)

I tend to set a low Goodreads goal. I generally could care less about the numbers. I'm more about quality and being able to read what I want when I want at my own pace.

Mareli - lol about tbr being an inflation!

Maria - Those twenty books, most of them were DNFs. I realized reading sometimes gives me alot of pressure since I became a blogger. SO I went back to how I read, DNFing books which are too painful to read. If it didn't grab my attention the first quarter, I'd quit it and move on to the next.

Btw, this may be cheating LOL I no longer consider ebooks as part of my TBR pile. If I did, I would never ever be free!

Literary - Yes that I went back to quality over quantity...

Guys thanks for dropping by!
