About the book:

About the book:

The Forth Expedition begins when Ada reveals to her fellow cadets that she and Erlakee will share a room at the clinic where she is receiving Pevasy treatments. Later, the cadets are informed of the objectives of the mission: Ensure that the damage suffered by AquaSoil will not impede the development of vegetation; determine the fate of its two moons, and measure the exact orbit of AquaSoil around its star.

During their trip to AquaSoil, the cadets visit Veradrix, a planet with a toxic and explosive atmosphere and many mysteries that hide puzzling messages, one said: “Listen to the fallen leaves as rustled by the breeze.”

They obtain two ‘exclusive’ powers before their next stop, which is planet Rensekal. There, they meet General Colpan and learn escape maneuvers. Colpan gives them whistles that produce Top Priority Signals.

Two major developments take place while the cadets travel to AquaSoil: First, Lieutenant-Generals Yalert and Dirah (enemies of the Empire) continue on their mission to catch the object ejected from the Audacious during a previous expedition. And second, a ‘secret’ gathering takes place where a mysterious being named Lord Uzbel reveals himself as the head of a major conspiracy against Annur’s empire. A female agent by the name of Randora will help Erlakee to create havoc on AquaSoil.

D’Nor and Kuln reveal to the cadets the existence of life-infusors and life-amplifiers onboard the Audacious that are required to seed the planet.

The cadets visit planet Tregf where they practice ways of dropping the infusors and amplifiers in preparation for doing it on AquaSoil. During their return trip the explorers run into a spaceship adrift in space.

The moment they enter the Eanono Wormhole on their way back, Lord Uzbel sends a message to Randora ordering her to start the mayhem together with Erlakee.

The cadets begin to question the reasons for their missions thinking that there will be a great struggle in the future and regret not having protected AquaSoil properly. They now think that their enemies will attack the planet; they send sentinels to keep an eye on AquaSoil. The Fourth Expedition ends when the system informs the cadets that their sentinels were cunningly deflected…

About the book:

About the book:

Publication Date: March 22, 2014

About the book:

Some call them extraterrestrials, others call them Gods. This is their story.

Sir Henry Johnston can’t help but laugh when he learns that the cadets are charged with speeding, towing disabled spaceships, and refusing to pay a toll in DEEP SPACE. He agrees with Judge Purrik who dismissed the charges as “Ridiculous!” On the other hand, the judge wants to hear about Alph who, being alone, was able to fight during five days without respite and kill 215 Lutins (enormous, vicious, hyena-like creatures). In addition, he wants to know who fired the Veloceptors, and who put microscopic tracking devices in the ‘traffic tickets’ handed out by Colonel Erlakee. Finally, he wants to hear the charge against Lieutenant Generals Yalert and Dirah of an Unprovoked Attack in Deep Space, and that of Torture against them as committed by Yah and Commander d’Nor. But, suddenly and unexpectedly, Queen Mella Kreffa drops all the charges provided the Empire of Annur does the same. The big question is: Why?

Once the third expedition gets underway, the cadets continue to obtain strange powers; for example, they can grab the soul of a living creature and scatter it about. What kind of power is this!? In spite of their many powers and gifts, nine of the twelve cadets are captured in beautiful Crystal Planet.

Later, they receive the gift that allows them to float their souls; something that “is not like levitation or flying, it is rather like ascending effortlessly, as if transforming oneself into breezes and sounds.”

On their way to AquaSoil, they go to planet Nirrat to test their powers. Later, they discover two mountains made of diamond drifting alone in space. They claim ownership of the mountains on behalf of the Empire but, a few minutes later, they are challenged by Captain Lusada (a Tamort) who claims them for Queen Mella; she accomplishes this with the aid of Colonel Erlakee (a Herptile).

With all these occurrences, will the cadets succeed in preparing AquaSoil for a future civilization?

Keep on reading with Sir Henry and follow the amazing adventures of the cadets in the third volume of the ‘Yah and the Space Cadets’ series: “Star Rise / The Third Expedition.”

About the book:

Book Spotlight: Well before the Beginning / The First Expedition by Jake Taylor

Well before the Beginning / The First Expedition

Ages: 9+, YA / Fifth Grade+
Author: Jake Taylor
Publisher: TT&T Publishers
Format: eBook
File size: 2148 KB
Page Count: approximately 219 as PDF
Language: English
ISBN: 978-0-9913935-0-3

Synopsis:

Some call them extraterrestrials, others call them Gods. This is their story.

After Sir Henry Johnston falls into a volcanic crater, two warriors from another world come to his rescue; they manage to keep him alive. These two warriors, a female named Suchja and a male named Dran, are Tesgans who claim to be here protecting planet Earth and its inhabitants, including plants and animals, on behalf of Annur’s Empire.

Sir Henry questions their claims but he can’t do much more. He is nearly comatose. Suchja tells Sir Henry to consider reading or listening to the Expedition Reports because that’s where he can find most of the answers he seeks. Thus begins a most amazing saga: How these beings got here, how they made us, how they transformed us, how they continue to influence us, and how they are protecting us from enemies that wish to do us harm.

Excerpt:

“How can you tell that I will survive this accident and that I will continue to live inside this body?” I ask a bit confused.

“Dran and I can travel in time; and we can tell you that Star [Sir Henry’s dog] will reach her destination; she will get a rescue party to come this way and in four days time they will arrive here by midafternoon. They will reach you before nightfall and lift you out of the crater as the night sets in. You will come to in a hospital the following morning,” responds Suchja with a big comforting smile and sparkling eyes.

“Suchja, you’ve just said that if my soul stays out of my body for an extended period of time, I will need to be reborn into another body. Are you telling me that you believe in reincarnation?” I inquire looking at her in total disbelief.

“Reincarnation is the only process by which you and everyone on your planet are reborn, sir,” replies Suchja totally sure of her answer.

“Where I come from, most people don’t believe in reincarnation. They think it is a difficult concept to grasp.” I inform her.

“Sir Henry, reincarnation is not difficult to understand,” Suchja says with that beautiful smile of hers.

“Maybe not for you, Suchja; you don’t need it anyways, but for us it is a rare concept; if anything, it is a big mystery,” I tell her.

“Sir Henry, you know very well what water is. Suppose for a moment that you are a drop of water and you are about to be dried out due to the weather. You evaporate and leave behind a few particles, which are mostly minerals. You are purified as you are raised towards the sky where you will become part of a cloud. Sometime later, you will return to the ground and begin your life anew as another drop of water. This will be repeated endlessly until the end of times. Your soul is exactly the same. Your body dies, leaving behind bones, which are mostly mineral, and your soul goes up to heaven where you get purified and later you are reborn into a new body, you will continue to do this until you become worthy of entering and remaining in our world; simple as that; although the process is a bit more complex,” says Suchja.

Some call them extraterrestrials, others call them Gods. This is their story.

They can levitate, and also produce diamonds and other gems by simply squeezing regular stones with their bare hands. They really like this last power, but seldom use it. Excerpt:

Chapter 10 - Tests and Planet Lurodas
“Your honor, my name is Masara Cleft, and I represent Queen Mella’s government,” said a tall, slender, good-looking woman with reddish hair whose head did not stop wobbling as she spoke. Her chin seemed to tremble but she spoke clearly. “The honorable members of an expeditionary force of her majesty’s government were conducting simple, run-of-the-mill tests with their newly developed rapid-fire missile systems. The tests did not include armed missiles. These were soft-metal, harmless ‘spears’ if you will, used only for target practice,” said Cleft with an unassuming attitude. “They were never knowingly fired at the Audacious to cause her harm. In addition, the Audacious was flying at an enormously fast speed and was protected by an electromagnetic shield that prevented others from detecting her. The monitors that helped guide the missiles must have shown the spacecraft as a blip of one sort or another causing all the missiles to converge on it. However,” she continued with a distinctly different tone of voice, “not only did the dishonorable commander of said ship destroy all our practice missiles, she and all her crew of malevolent cadets, Tesgans, Lesgans and Cargans rejoiced at the destruction of one hundred and eighty-six space cruisers. Two days later, they went scavenging for the remains left after their attack and took an unknown quantity of pieces of equipment, weapons and approximately fifty-two prisoners, most of whom never returned. Therefore, we demand punishment for all the crewmembers, including Commander d’Nor, as well as a total compensation of GC314,576,870 Gold Comets, that is, GC1,677,295 per cruiser and GC2,600,000 for the 52 expedition members at GC50,000 each; plus the customary attorney fees and court costs, of course,” she finished.

Chapter 17 - AquaSoil
“Does the counsel for the defense wish to respond?” asked the judge.

Chapter 21 - Uquet
“Yes, your honor,” said mister Zulep, who, after standing up continued, “The first attack involved fifteen hundred missiles, not ‘spears,’ they were all set to converge on the Audacious with the aim of destroying her completely. It was an unprovoked attack and the Audacious did exactly what any other ship would have done in her place. She defended herself.…
