Waiting for: Succubus Revealed by Richelle Mead

Hi guys! Yes! Richelle Mead mentioned last week in her FB account that book cover of the last Succubus book will be released this week and yay! Here it is:

I'm SOOO excited for the final book. I hope she'd be with Seth. Please - Georgie needs to be with Seth! And also, I wanna know what's with the contract. I miss the whole gang! Awww another end of a great series. According to Richelle's blog, the excerpt will be posted later this summer. The release date of the final book is August 30. I can't wait! If you guys haven't started the series, pick up the first book, Succubus Blues and you'll love it just like me!

Vampire Academy Graphic Novel: Dimitri Belikov Fan art

As all of you my dear readers/followers know by now, I love Vampire Academy sooo MUCH that's why I'm closely following any news about VA. Though some of you might already know/hear what I post here, I will still post them lol. 

Vampire Academy book 1 has been adapted for a graphic novel and the confirmed release date is August 23, 2011 (yup yup you are sooo righty - same release date for Bloodlines book). This graphic novel will have 144 full-color pages, wow! I recently finished reading my first comic book Marvel Anita Blake: Guilty Pleasures #7-12  given by a friend as a Christmas gift last December and I love love love it sooo much! Now I think I'd like to start collecting comic books/graphic novels someday - of course must be based on the books I have read. Back to the VA graphic novel, the illustrator is Emma Vieceli and the adapter is Leigh Dragoon.

What I have here are Dimka's fan art by Emma Vieceli. I asked her if I could post this on my webpage and she said yes!

That's exactly my Dimka with his long cowboy "duster" coat! Thanks Emma for this, I can't wait for the graphic novel to come out!!! You're really really great!!

Bloodlines first draft done!!

 

On January 8, Richelle Mead mentioned in her Facebook account that she's already done with the first draft of Bloodlines! Yay!

Bloodlines is the first book and also the title of the spin-off series of Vampire Academy series.  It is set in VA world, with VA characters. Jill Mastrano and Eddie Castille are the confirmed VA characters. She also confirmed that the narrator in Bloodlines is Sydney Sage, also a VA character. She's the Alchemist which Rose met in Russia. I read somewhere the main setting will be a high school in California.

Ms. Mead also revealed that one of the love interests from VA will be the male lead character in Bloodlines. She didn't divulge who that guy is but I am 99% sure that's Adrian Ivashkov. *wink* Why?

Because . . . . . . .  *SPOILER alert ! Don't read if you haven't read Last Sacrifice*

Because Adrian in the last book was heartbroken. Ms. Mead also wrote in her blog that she would never leave  questions unanswered. So - Adrian will find new love and I hope he gets a happy ending!

HOT HOT HOT! True Blood and Dead Reckoning First Chapter

Yay! Just saw this while checking True Blood news and I want to share this with you guys just in case you haven't seen this. Aw, look at that magazine cover (September 2010 issue)! These guys are sooo hot hot hot and that girl's lucky!

As for the Sookie Stackhouse books, I borrowed the last book, Dead in the Family from a friend. Honestly, I couldn't read the entire book, I almost skipped everything until I found the Bill part. And no, if you're thinking there's more to Sookie and Bill relationship here - oh no. You will be greatly  disappointed.  I expected they would try to fix things between them after the Fae war (Dead and Gone) but *sigh* nothing happened. It's really about Sookie and Eric in Dead in the Family. I like Eric okay - there were times I thought I was also inlove with him but I guess *singing* first love never dies. . . .  lol
 
Last night, I finally decided to read the first chapter of Dead Reckoning. I didn't read it all, *scratching head* don't feel excited about it. I only checked for Bill - Bill - Bill. Ms. Harris, you have to understand. I love Bill more! If he won't be in that book, I guess Sookie's definitely dead to me.

Sookie's 11th book will be released on May 11. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

Last Sacrifice: BIG day tomorrow!

We have read the first chapter of LAST SACRIFICE - well me, actually I read the first four chapters but really - there's no major spoiler there. So don't feel bad if you haven't read it.

News I read today: the VA spin off series now has a title. It will be called Bloodlines. Well, it's coming next August. Righty - you just read my mind! That's a month before Georgina's final book. I love Richelle Mead!

LAST SACRIFICE: First Chapter Up

OMG! . . . OMG!

Oh goody! I have just finished reading chapter 1 of Vampire Academy's final book LAST SACRIFICE by Richelle Mead! It was great. . . I'm telling you, it was really really awesome, just amazing!! I love this series and I'm slowly dying waiting for the book. . . 5 more days to go.

Here it is:

CHAPTER 1

I don't like cages.

I don't even like going to zoos. The first time I went to one, I almost had claustrophobic attacks looking at those poor animals. I couldn't imagine any creature living that way. Sometimes I even felt a little bad for criminals, condemned to life in a cell. I'd certainly never expected to spend my life in one.

But lately, life seemed to be throwing me a lot of things I'd never expected, because here I was, locked away.

"Hey!" I yelled, gripping the steel bars that isolated me from the world. "How long am I going to be here? When's my trial? You can't keep me in this dungeon forever!"

Okay, I think it's Rose - everybody's thinking that it could be Viktoria but I read somewhere that Dimitri's family won't be included in Last Sacrifice.

It might be Rose talking to Dimitri - telling Rose that's it's okay to marry his brother - Adrian! That would be my guess - Dimitri's dad could be Nathan - Adrian's father. Stupid right? BUT I could be right. Who would have a brother except the Belikov sisters BUT they're not included in the final book  . . . . hmmm. . . . . 7 more days. . . might be the last teaser trailer

Last Sacrifice teaser trailer no. 3 - Lissa Dragomir Trailer

Lissa Dragomir? Sweet Lissa? Oh no, no! I just finished reading (AGAIN) Spirit Bound last night and my guess would really be Adrian's mom and dad, and a little doubt in Adrian. Rose broke his heart a lot of times and he's been so cool about it. BUT he loves Tatiana so much so that made me think not. What's with the green eyes? Lissa and Jill have green eyes, so I've been thinking Jill is Lissa's half-sister.

Penguin Australia will probably release the first chapter in 2 weeks! The wait is killing me!

Missing Riley and Quinn. . . . .

While browsing the internet yesterday, I found myself missing Riley and Quinn, a series by Keri Arthur and I was surprised to learn that Keri wrote a short story of Riley and Quinn and she posted it on her website for FREE! Oh goody! Here's the link to the sweet short story. I love it!

I also checked her Anthologies and saw this:

It's a compilation of 25 short stories from the authors mentioned above. I'm not sure If I want to buy this because the only author I know is Keri Arthur. On the other hand, I want to buy this because according to Keri, her short story is about Riley's world but told  from Quinn's POV which I think is OMG! Might be good reading Quinn's POV.

Hmmm . . . .  let's see.

The End is Near!

The other day (or month) I received this another wonderful great great award from The Crazy Bookworm, it's called the Blog of the Week award. Thanks to you!! Love this!

It was actually awarded to me last September 19. Yikeees! What's wrong with me? It seems that it's really hard to find "free time" nowadays. Working + kids = no "ME" time. I just realized that it's been straight three weeks since the last time I got "ME" time. Where to find this, you tell me pleeazZze! I just hope before this year ends or early December, things at work would be back to normal again.


Oh speaking of December. I read in Richelle Mead's blog that she had an interview with Charlaine Harris. They talked about the upcoming release of Last Sacrifice (CH asked RM if she would resolve the issues of love triangle in VA - aw! The usual, she didn't give any spoiler) and Ms. Harris' plans on doing two more Sookie's. Two more? Right now, I don't have any desire to read Sookie 10 (Dead in the Family). After reading a lot of negative comments/reviews, I guess I'm gonna skip reading it. To watch the interview, click here.

As for the movie, Pregger Entertainment has not released any more news on this. If VA is really being turned into movies, then I think I can wait, even if it takes years to finish one movie, that's okay with me. I'm just hoping they'd get perfect ones to fit the VA characters, especially Rose and Dimitri.

And speaking of Dimitri, found this wallpaper somewhere - forgot where I got this but I'm sure it's an Australian website. Nice huh?

So, 52 more days before Last Sacrifice! Can't wait!

Vampire Academy News!! News!!

I'm closely following any news re Vampire Academy and I've got some updates I got from Richelle Mead's website and her Facebook page.

This is the OFFICIAL Last Sacrifice coverart. The series will end in December, so excited and at the same time, so sad that the world I so love to live in is now going to end, at least for Rose and Dimitri. The book will be released on 7 December 2010 and I hope the last book won't disappoint me!

And this is the coverart I got from FB in May 2010. They edited the girl's hair from blond to dark brown hair. So they say, this is also the girl they used in Blood Promise and Spirit Bound *huh?* 

Vampire Academy will be made into a graphic novel and will be out in stores in August 2011. I am not so thrilled about the Dimka in the graphic novel. Dimitri's not looking good here eh? Where's the cowboy duster?!?!?

I like Rose, though, looking sooo badass!!! And yeah, Lissa looking so lady and so blond! *wink*

And lastly, Richelle Mead has a short story in this book KISSES FROM HELL, about Lissa's parents coming out on 24 August 2010. Might be a good one, gotta check that out!

Looks like you're dead Sookie, dead. . .

I was reading reviews about Dead in the Family and most of the people who have read the book didn't think DitF is a good follow up on Dead and Gone.



I am now having second thoughts on buying the hard bound book. They also talked about having HBO True Blood's characters in there? One even suggested to just skip this book, wtf? Like there is no plot at all. And the one thing I'm waiting didn't happen, Bill and Sookie getting back together!


I think if that's the case then i will just wait for the paper back copy of DitF or just skip it.

Vampire Academy has been optioned for film by Preger Entertainment!

It's all set for the Georgina Kincaid series. Richelle just mentioned in her blog that they already have decided the title of the last Succubus book and its release date. It's called Succubus Revealed and the release date is September 2012.

It would be a long wait, I know, i know, but it's better to have the book late with a good story and good ending than have it sooner but totally disappointing us, right? She said this was because she has a lot of things going on right now (yeah like finishing Last Sacrifice which was the more important one RIGHT?! *wink*)

Okay let's move on to the Vampire Academy Series, Richelle also talked about the spin off series which will be released in 2011, yay, i have a feeling it'd be a good one too just like VA! It's already set but she has not given us the title of the first book but can wait on that one.

Okay here's the bestest news!

Georgina has been optioned for a TV series (or movie?) and VA for a movie!! Yay!! I was like, really, REALLY?? OMG, was surprised of these two wonderful news. Georgina has been optioned by Fox Television and VA by Pregger Entertainment. You can read it here:
